The Driven Game Series is a snapshot of a single moment in time where we gain an insight into the most traditional of British sporting activities, driven bird shooting, immortalized in bronze by renowned American Wildlife Bronze Artist, Christopher Smith.
The characters depicted are given their own stories, a small piece of fiction to describe what is happening and to bring each piece to life.
Each of the eight pieces, at approximately one quarter life size, is a Limited Edition of 18 and may be purchased individually or as a full set.

The Artist
Along with his family and his sculpting, one of Christopher's greatest passions in life is bird hunting, especially driven game shooting. It was his love of this sport that inspired Christopher to create the Driven Game Series.
Additional Input
"Creating the Driven Game Series was so much more than just the initial concept," explains Christopher.
"It was important to me that everything was as accurate as possible. I wanted to make sure that each shooter and each loader was positioned perfectly, but also I wanted to make sure that each peg correctly reflected what might be occurring on a genuine driven shoot.
"This included an intricate level of detail, right down to ensuring that the loaders toward the center of the line had less shells in their bags than the ones on the outside of the line, whose shooters had not quite got fully into the drive yet.
"To achieve this level of detail, I sought assistance and advice from four individuals who live and breathe guns, hunting and driven game shooting."

George Juer
With over twenty years experience in the British Gun Trade as one of the UK's foremost experts in fine firearms, George is lucky enough to have shot all over the world.
George spent 10 years at James Purdey & Sons, followed by a further three years managing the relaunch of the famous two-hundred-year-old British Gun Manufacturer Charles Lancaster Gunmakers. In his roles at these historic companies, George attended numerous worldwide trade events and hunts with Christopher, where they struck up a lasting friendship. George was instrumental in creating the narratives behind each piece, along with providing expert advice on the positions of the shooters and loaders. George has also assisted Christopher with the branding and marketing of the Driven Game Series. |
Lars Magnusson
Lars is one of the most well-known figures in the game shooting world in his position as the man behind the USA’s premier driven wing shooting destination, Blixt & Co in Idaho.
Previously, Lars has been involved with numerous shooting related organizations, including being General Manager of the prestigious West London Shooting School in England. But it is Blixt & Co that has made Lars one of America's most sought-after experts in his field, and it was here that he became friends with Christopher, who continues to shoot in Idaho every year. Lars' expertise in the art of driven shooting, and being one of America's most experienced shotgun shooting instructors, made him the ideal person to advise on all aspects of the Driven Game Series. |
Grayson Smith
Grayson's expertise in the Driven Game Series is not only from the shooting point of view, but from the bronze perspective as well. As the son of the artist, he has first hand knowledge of all aspects of producing bronze sculptures.
Grayson has been a keen shooter since he was old enough for his father to bring him along on his hunting trips. His passion for the sport led him to the decision to take up shooting as his chosen profession. In 2019, Grayson moved to Idaho in order to study under Lars Magnusson at Blixt & Co. After four years learning all about driven shooting and shotgun shooting instruction, Grayson moved back home to Texas, where he now offers private shooting tutelage under the brand of Grayson Smith Instruction. |
Leonard Logsdail
At first glance, it may seem strange to seek advice on sculptures of shooters from a Savile Row trained, New York based celebrity tailor. However, the expertise of Leonard Logsdail True Bespoke Tailors was essential for this project.
When he isn't preparing suits for the latest Hollywood blockbuster movie, or catering to the bespoke clothing needs of individuals around the globe, Leonard spends much of his time bird hunting. His passion for this sport led Leonard into creating a range of bespoke shooting clothing. As a lifelong friend of Christopher, a world-class tailor and an expert with a shotgun, Leonard was therefore ideally placed to advise on how all the clothing would sit correctly on the individual shooters and loaders within the Driven Game Series. |
